Why Breathwork?
Breathing is one of the most powerful tools we have to influence the nervous system, energy levels and overall wellbeing. When combined with controlled cold exposure, it becomes a highly effective way to build resilience to stress and improve the way the body responds to physical and emotional demands.
I offer guided breathwork and breath work with ice bath sessions, designed to help you reconnect with your breath, regulate your nervous system and develop greater physical and mental resilience.
I am trained to facilitate breathwork and cold exposure sessions and am currently completing the Functional Breathwork Certification with Oxygen Advantage, an internationally recognised system for improving breathing function and efficiency.
Modern lifestyles, stress and poor breathing habits can affect how efficiently we breathe. Dysfunctional breathing patterns can contribute to fatigue, anxiety, poor recovery, and reduced physical performance.
Functional breathwork focuses on restoring more efficient breathing patterns so the body can function more effectively.
Breathwork sessions may help support:
• Nervous system regulation
• Stress and anxiety management
• Improved focus and mental clarity
• Better sleep and recovery
• Improved breathing efficiency
• Core and diaphragm function
• Exercise performance and endurance
Learning to work with your breath gives you a practical tool that can be used during training, in stressful moments, and in everyday life.
When we add controlled cold exposure we create a powerful way to train the body’s stress response. When practiced safely and intentionally, it can help improve resilience, recovery and mental strength.
During guided ice bath sessions, breathwork techniques are used to help regulate the body’s response to the cold and maintain calm under stress.
Potential benefits include:
• Increased stress tolerance
• Improved nervous system regulation
• Enhanced recovery from training
• Improved circulation
• Increased mental resilience
• Greater awareness of breath and body
These sessions are always guided to ensure participants feel safe, supported and in control of the experience.
